On the night of 30 Oct 2023, I was travelling through St George, Utah on my way back to Las Vegas. I was in the middle lane of traffic doing roughly 75 mph when my passenger side front tire lost all pressure and shredded apart which nearly caused me to slam into the side of a tractor/trailer. After looking over the tire/wheel to determine what caused the failure I noticed the side of the valve stem had blown out. This is the second valve stem where the side of the stem blew out. After researching online it appears this is a recurring problem although something I have never experienced in 30+ years of driving. I have not brought the wheel/valve stem to anyone to inspect the item since the failure is obvious (see pics). There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms.
My name is [XXX]. I have a 2020 Ram Laramie. I purchased the truck June 2nd 2022. So then, my truck did not come with a fitting spare tire. Currently I have 40/13.5r17 on the vehicle. That the manufacturer placed with this truck when I purchased it. The spare that came with the truck, is a 18 inch spare. That doesn-??t fit my truck. Also it-??s a major safety hazard. My left front tire split on the side so I went to use my spare and it was a wrong tire. Also, I purchase the vehicle with only 17000 miles on it, and No personal owners. Only dealerships. I paid $135,000 cash for it on the spot. Only had it 1 year. Also, now my truck won-??t start. Something is wrong with my fuel pump and batteries or something. There suppose to come get it today. I live 30 miles up the mountain in WA state. So I do not do a whole turn of driving. I-??m not sure what-??s wrong, but I-??m kinda stuck without a vehicle now, til it gets fixed I suppose. But I thought I-??d let you know, so you can double check you guys products and make sure there now like expired parts or something. Thank you and have a nice day. The tires have premature wearing and cracking. Tires need to be replaced The DEF tank was replaced in 2021 and once again needs to be replaced. The plug for heating er on the oil pan is defective and sparks. The radio shuts off and won-??t come back on. The blind spot sensors don-??t always work. Truck sometimes won-??t go into park or let you shift it off
TPMS system unavailable. Multiple sensors installed from Ram and 3rd party tire/wheel stores. System has been mostly unavailable for 6 months. Reported to vehicle manufacturer and the issue has been unresolved. The system is unavailable at vehicle start-up and while in motion on any road.
One week after driving off dealers lot the back wheel pressure sensor went bad, now one week after replacing that rear passenger side sensor the front drivers side wheel sensor now has gone bad! I have to test air pressure daily due to no sensor. The vehicle was in motion each time sensor went bad.

This vehicle was bought less than a month ago. The first week 3 tires sensors are out and not working, then yesterday, Oct. 20, 2020 the engine light came on and won't go out. We called the dealer and were told that it wasn't any problem to keep driving the truck. They told us the soonest they could see it was this Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 and they do not have any loaners. So here I am stuck at home afraid to drive the Ram truck costing more than $70,000 because I might ruin the engine. This is uncalled for in a brand new vehicle!!
At 63 miles my left front tire pressure sensor stopped reading. It started to work after about 200 miles. Then at about 400 miles, the right rear sensor stopped working and is still not working. Brand new truck! I have made 3 trips to my selling dealer and they can not get the replacement sensors. A friend of mine has the exact same truck and similar failure at two weeks of ownership. My concern is that there is a much larger problem than Fiat is admitting to. No replacement sensors available means that many are needing to be replaced as they are failing. In the mean time, I am driving with an incomplete tps system. I ask that you look into this major safety concern.
