The contact owns a 2019 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 75 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that the vehicle lost power steering assist and several other functions. The vehicle was coasted to the side of the roadway and then towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuel pump failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the part was no longer being produced. The contact was informed that there was an aftermarket part to repair the vehicle however, the part was on back order. The approximate failure mileage was 36,000.
