The truck has been accelerating uncontrollably when selecting "resume" on the cruise control while accelerating. Usually it cuts out and disables the cruise control when it reaches about 20 km/hr above the cruise set point. One time it wouldn't stop and the engine fought me as I applied the brake. When I took it into the dealership, they re applied the 2018 recall for the issue and are hoping that it will work now.
The truck still accelerates uncontrollably when I resume cruise control while accelerating. But it does disable the cruise now when it gets to be be over 20 km/hr above the cruise set point. The dealership can reproduce the error, but cant fix the problem. I've reported it to Fiat, they thanked me for reporting it, but offered to solution or action to resolve. I've reported it to Transportation Canada and they are investigating. The dealer ship is now working with Fiat to fix it. Turns out it is an issue in the programming of the 2500s with the 6.4 L. Hope fully they find a solution before something serious happens.
Drive safe my friends, and don't trust this truck!
