My truck has 85000 miles on it. I have now experienced the ABS and traction control warning lights. They come on and off intermittently. The cruise control does not work when these lights are on. With all the complaints, its time Ram issues a fix under a recall.
HCU Hydrolic control unit failure. ABS failure Dealership has addressed the problem and charged me $1,300 Lights that have come on are-?? Service Electronic Braking System & Service Antilock Brake System
Abs and traction control light goes on and off constantly. When the lights come on, traction control doesn't work, brakes don't worry as they should, and 4x4 doesn't work. Almost caused me to have a wreck in the rain with no traction control.
My vehicle has had the Service Electronic Braking System/Service Antilock Braking System warnings appearing for approximately 6 months, along with the ABS light and Traction Control light being illuminated. It was intermittent at first but has been on steady for the past month. The vehicle has not been to the manufacturer to get inspected yet due to the intermittent nature at first. With the lights being illuminated, I have had a time or two where when the brakes were applied in a quick manner, the abs was not engaged and the tire locked up when a deer ran across the road.
Hello, I have an Anti Lock Brakes electrical motor failure on my vehicle. The motor failed once at 20000 miles and failed again after a warranty replacement at 60000 miles. The part is on national back order for 2 years now and keeps the ABS from being fully engaged. It also disables cruise control and constantly dings. Two Dodge dealerships have confirmed the issue. The code is C0020-01
ABS won't stay engaged causing traction control to not stay engaged and causes cruise control to not stay engaged. Skidding and loss of control are possible without ABS and traction control systems working. Loss of cruise control can cause rear impact from sudden slow down. Same problems are occurring in similar vehicles. Console chimes and ABS and traction control indicator lights come on. Message to service ABS system appears on console.
Have had my truck into the dealer several times to check a hard brake pedal. No error code. When stopping it feels like there is no power brake Assist. It's harder to stop than my old truck with no power brakes especially when pulling my travel trailer. Dealer rep has driven truck an even admitted it was hard to stop. Truck has less than 22 000 miles. email - [XXX] / phone: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
often experience noticeable braking issues. illumination of the ABS or brake warning light on the dashboard, indicating a problem with the anti-lock braking system. difficulty maintaining proper braking pressure, especially in emergency braking situations or on slippery surfaces, where the ABS should engage. As a result, the vehicle's stopping distance increases, and I have noticed a lack of control during hard braking. In some cases, the brakes feel soft or spongy due to improper hydraulic pressure regulation. Additionally, intermittent or complete loss of ABS functionality has occurred, leading to less stable braking performance.
This is 3rd time I have had ABS failed. Truck only has 66,000 miles on it and this has happened for 3rd time. Has been twice repaired by Ram dealer in Denham Springs Louisiana. Evidently parts are defective. I am original owner. First time happened at 24,700 miles. Second time at 48,200 miles. Third time at 66,000 miles. Evidently bad parts.
The ABS Light along with the EBS light were popping up on the dash every 2-3 seconds. My cruise control quit working. The truck is steadily dinging. I am sure the ABS will not function when this light is on. I am worried the truck will not handle well on wet roads. I have a [XXX] and a [XXX]. Please help me resolve this issue. The Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) Traction Control warning light and warning bell comes on after hitting bump in road or just randomly. Anti-lock brakes no longer work and it is a safety hazard. this issue back at about 78,000 miles. This is an ongoing safety problem with Ram 2500's and there is no recall by the manufacturer for a known defective part.
First abs control module was replaced at 27k miles, now the second abs control module has failed again and needs replaced at 49k miles. There are many of these truck that these modules have failed on and the abs will not work.
ABS warning lights keep flashing in my truck, dodge has no fix for this problem, all they say is parts are in redesign and unable. what can be done here?
The ABS and traction control light flash and sound repeatedly. As well as loss of trailer brake control. This is the second time the vehicle has done this. The first time I fixed it as Fam said it wasn-??t covered by the warranty. I replaced the ABS module and HCU on my own dime. This is a major safety concern and should be treated as such.
