I bought this 2018 2500 Dodge Ram new in spring 2019, with just a little over 12,000 miles on new truck anti lock brake system hydraulic control unit ( part# 68143491AB) went bad, this caused vehicle to loose anti lock braking system. Pickup was under warranty and dealership fixed truck without cost or injury to me. But now 2 yrs later with just 26714 miles same ABS part is bad making my pickup dangerous for me or my wife to drive. In less then 27000 miles this ABS part has failed 2 times proving to be defective making driving this vehicle dangerous to drive and now since it's no longer under warranty dealership say it will cost $500.00 to fix it. This part is a flawed part as I have heard of many other Dodge Ram owners having the same issues with this ABS systems part. If I had heard of this issue with Dodge Rams, and Dodges denial to stand behind their Ram pickups to fix this faulty part at no expense to the consumer before purchase, I would not have purchased this Dodge Ram.
My advice is, until Dodge Is Willing to take responsibility to replace and fix at no expense to the consumers, these faulty parts, that have shown to be faulty multiple times, stay away from dodge rams. Not only are the consumers lives put at risk when part malfunctions, consumers also have to pay out of pocket, plus take personal time for the inconvenience of having to return to dealership for repairs multiple times . So until that time, go with a different manufacturer, you'll be glad you did.
