Anti lock and traction control lights been on since 7/2021 and buzzer goes off repeatedly when driving especially on rough roads. Dealer wants 1,800 to 2,300$ to replace brake pumps.
When I asked if the new parts were upgraded and defects fixed they didn’t know. They could be installing the same defective pumps. This is after a 250.00 scan even though I already scanned and printed it.
I’m really pissed off as the parts are not available due to shipping issues as of 9/23. Dodge knows this is an ongoing issue affecting thousands of trucks and it affects the brakes, seems like a no brainer to recall due to liability alone. Still waiting for some kind of recall as I’m not putting that kind of money out so early, only have 47 k on it. Problem occurred at less than 30k miles but warranty was up at 3 years. Hope there is a recall soon

My 17 year old son drives the truck because as far as I know it should be the safest vehicle we have for him to drive. Finding out this is a problem with many other rams infuriates me and infuriates me even more there is no recall on the faulty part. My son was injured because the truck would not stop when he applied the brakes in an emergency situation!
The ABS lights and the alarm keeps flashing on and off at random intervals) on my 2017 Ram 2500. I first saw this issue in 2022. The code was c0020-01 ABS pump motor control - general failure. Its common issue with 2500 and 3500 trucks. No anti locks brakes in bad weather. Tires lock up. Very dangerous. It's my only vehicle to get to work and get around.
I'm having the same problem with my 2017 Ram 2500 4X4 the ABS and the traction control lights keep going on and off. After reading through this forum I also do not have trailer brake control. I'm not sure what is exactly the problem. I will do some research on the truck this weekend. I have found that the dealers are just part changers. The real Mechanics are gone these days.
I hope Ram will step up to the plate and do a recall, also have no faith in Ram anymore. This Truck has been great until this. In the past I have bought 6 brand new Dodge/Ram. The last Dodge I bought was a 2005 Durango with 5.7. It took Dodge 9 weeks to fix the Dash cluster and at that point my interior lights never worked again, the dealer was useless. So know in order for my truck to be fixed if in fact it's ABS pump I'm going to have to wait again. I will let every one know what I come up with. Ram will be getting a call to find what there going to do about this, I do not give up. It might take 10 years.lol Thank for listening to me.

This is the second failure of same type of part, only this time, it was not under warranty. It appears that there is a defect in the design since the original and the first replacement only lasted about 20,000 miles. This is not sustainable at $880 per repair. There should be a class action suit against FCA for a permanent solution. I love my truck but going to have to get rid of it due to this problem. I never know when I press the brake or hit a bump if I will have to pay another $880 repair.
I know the truck is out of bumper to bumper warranty, but I paid a lot of money for this truck and brakes and abs failure not even 50,000 miles on it. I have a call into ram to see just what and if anything they will do. This is pathetic and seems this is a very common problem. Has anyone got any help for repairs from Ram? I sure hope so, had a front end wobble since day one. Finally found a fella who knew how to fix it and he don't work for a dealer or Ram. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
