Hauled a load of cattle. Clicked on the Tow/Haul switch as well as the exhaust brake switch. Truck was running well as usual before I turned those two switches on. Started shifting hard as I was going up and down the hills loaded. It would down shift going down the hills very hard. After it shifted hard a few times I shut both the Tow/Haul off and the exhaust brake off it ran and shifted fine. Now just driving it around town, I notice it shifting hard when I'm slowing down to a stop. Makes a hard "thunk" noise and jolts the passengers forward. Would take it to dealership right away but the closest dealer is 90 miles away and is only open when im at work.
Transmission fluid level is at the correct level, nothing smells burnt. No check engine light
Have had to take days off to get truck to the dealership before for DEF and exhaust issues and I'm about to switch to a ford. Never thought I would say that.
