So I was the proud owner of a 2015 Power Wagon but now I am the very unhappy owner of a 2015 broken down Power Wagon. The transmission in these trucks comes with a faulty filter that splits open and burns out the clutches and more. This defect also effects the performance and quality of drive. The dealership said this was a known problem but no actions were taken by Chrysler to fix it. My truck is now torn apart at the dealership and the parts are not available, on extreme back order they said. So I could be without my truck for a month if not longer. As this was a factory defect I would like to see Chrysler step up and replace the transmission. They are saying they cannot authorize this so I asked who can authorize a new transmission. The response was "no one can authorize it". In my experience there is always someone that can authorize anything.
So can I recommend the Ram and/or the Power Wagon? No!
The fact the parts to repair the transmission are on extreme back order tells me there must be a big problem with this transmission. Chrysler needs to step up and take care of the customer. I could be without my very expensive truck for a long time and in the mean time I am making the payments, insurance payments and using up warranty time when not driving the vehicle.
