I start up... truck would run idle wildly. Able to drive the truck for a few minutes. Service electronic throttle light would come on. After that, the truck would basically go into a limp mode. No response when pushing gas peddle. Coast to a stop, turn off truck. Wait for a minute, start and repeat same as above. I was able to make it to the dealership a couple miles away by doing this.
Dealer first replaced PCM. Didn't fix the problem. No codes appearing on their computer. They tested the compression. Low compression in multiple cylinders. No metal flakes in the oil. Dealer said I needed a new engine.
