The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact stated that the transmission line leaked transmission fluid without warning. The contact took the vehicle to vaughn motors (318-346-6367, located at 1102 nw main St, bunkie, la 71322) where it was diagnosed that the bracket fractured that held the frame in the transmission on the front passenger wheel. The technician stated that the frame needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,500.
The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. While driving 75 mph and making a right turn, there was a loud noise under the vehicle. The contact coasted over to the side of the road and noticed that the front bracket detached from the frame, which prevented the tires from turning left or right. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 15V541000 (steering), 15V4060000 (air bags, seat belts), and 15V459000 (air bags). The parts needed for the repair were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 155,000.
