The contact stated that while driving or while the vehicle was idling, the inner and outer parts of the windshield and windows became foggy, impairing the visibility of the driver. The contact stated that the windshield defroster was engaged but failed to clear the windows and the windshield. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred several times and caused his wife to pull to the side of the road. The contact stated that the inner and outer parts of the windshield and windows was foggy independent of the temperature inside and outside of the vehicle. The contact stated that upon investigating the failure online, he became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V871000 (Visibility) however, the VIN was not included. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The contact stated that he believed that the dealer could not duplicate the failure as the recall remedy consisted of repurchasing the affected vehicles. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.
