I first got the Safety Recall information from Carfax. I went straight to the Dealer Chapman Dodge Ram with the information. They said no parts were on hand for the necessary fix. Wait until Ram furnishes the fix and notifies me. They told me if the vehicle hp fuel pump breaks they would then provide towing. I am now afraid to drive the vehicle! The issue is safety and could cause an abrupt stop that could cause an accident. I also live in the desert city of Yuma, Az. I have to cross hundreds of miles of desert to get anywhere. Telephone service is sometimes not accessible, and one could have to wait for several hours to get a tow truck.
I am 76 years old, pay a lot of money for this vehicle which is currently dangerous to drive.
When I complained to RAM customer service, they said that they were looking at the fourth quarter of 2023 for the parts and repair to be available. I find this very irresponsible as a manufacturer!
