I was hit in the rear of my 2021 RAM 1500 truck by a drunk driver on 5/17/2024 and the seatbelt failed to restrain me. My face hit the steering wheel and I had a significant head injury and a broken nose. The CT Scan revealed a brain bruise (acute sulcal subarachnoid hemorrhage in the right parietotemporal region just superior to the posterior right sylvian fissure). In many cases this is fatal. Praise God, I appear to be OK, but I will get another CT scan in two weeks to make sure the brain bleed is healing. I still suffer from morning headaches. I'm posting this so the issue can be addressed and lives saved. I always wear my seatbelt, but I didn't think it would fail me.
