This is my first RAM 1500 that I purchased back in November 2019. It is a 2020 RAM 1500 Quad Bighorne and I don’t drive it that much, from home to work & work to home. I have had it for 4 years now with a mileage roughly around 27,150. I have been experiencing issues with my transmission! What new vehicle has issues with transmission with low mileage. When my truck sits for a long time, 8 to 10 hours at work, the transmission shifts kinda hard causing a jolt effect. I have had the dealership look at it but they can’t find anything wrong with it.
The other day when I was driving on the highway and was approaching a traffic light, as I was pressing on the brake pedal, the truck lunged forward! This scared me because I could’ve hit the car in front of me and wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to stop! I have noticed that the trucks’ responding to STOP and GO is not good. If you speed up and try to slow down, at times it does this jerking and then starts to slow down. Since having the truck on 3 different occasions I have had to pull over to stop the truck and shut it down because the transmission wouldn’t shift. Evidently there IS an issue with the transmission but now my truck no longer is under warranty, so what do I do now?
