I have a 2020 Dodge Ram that has 75,000 miles on it. It has already broke down requiring a new transmission ( Jan of 2023 at 61,349 miles) and on [XXX] at 83,000 miles I, again, broke down and found it to be a valve spring. I have inquired as to the frequency of these occurrences in other Rams and a was told neither one of these occurrences should have happened. I jumped the hoops of the warranty and have put out almost $1,000 for the warranty company to "inspect" the engine, valve spring & tranny items that I should not have had to deal with in the first place. At first, the warranty company was willing to discuss possible retribution of some sort given the rarity of the break downs that occurred. I had a caseworker and now I cannot get anyone on the phone to even discuss this with any longer. Always being told "In a meeting", "Not available". With my last call being today and told SOMEONE was going to call. I have received emails noting "it is being investigated" and also told someone would reach out. NOW I have developed anxiety over this truck as, I travel. I'm terrified that I will be stuck in the middle of no where in the middle of the night. Both occurrences happened at night while alone! I am a [XXX]! Perhaps that's why ? I have been without a vehicle since that time and even the auto repair place had a very hard time in getting warranty company to pay. Truck is home now but now Im afraid to drive it anywhere. This was my dream truck and Im heartbroken at the total disrespect that has occurred for my safety and for anyone else who has had to go through this - I do have invoices but it wouldn't let me download them. I can send them via email. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

While traveling down C470 Eastbound my truck experienced some type of mechanical failure. While on the corner above the bridge for Wadsworth Avenue I felt a sudden loss of control with the truck pulling to the right side of the highway. I immediately took action to pull the truck off the highway while also wrestling for control of the steering to keep the truck from running into the barrier and off the bridge. I was able to bring the truck to a stop just following the bridge (About 100ft). Upon inspection I found the right front tire had folded under itself. It seemed that the upper control arm on the vehicle snapped, pulling out the drive shaft in the process and damaging items like the steering linkage, brakes, tire, brakeline, etc. Dealership diagnosis was: Found right front upper ball joint separated causing excessive damage to the front end components. Only additional work that has been done to the truck was by MOPAR with their 2 inch lift kit, certified by Fiat Chrysler and Mopar for this specific truck. Kit number 77072424 SUSP KIT-LIFT. Dealership did inspection of vehicle 2 days prior to incident with no issues found. I was not able to attach pictures and PDFs to this form

Transfer case has failed per dealer inspection and diagnostics. Several lights turned on. Burning smell in/outside of vehicle. Vehicle will jerk from time to time. Parts are apparently on back order for several weeks and I have been told the vehicle is drivable even though transfer case issues / failures can be a serious safety issue.

After pulling out of a parking lot, I was accelerating, probably between 30-40mph, and the transmission suddenly slipped into neutral. I had just merged into traffic and because of this defect in the transmission, my truck was sharply slowing down with several other vehicles behind and beside me. Thankfully I drove a manual transmission for years so I knew what was happening. I physically turned the gear selector to neutral and right back to drive and I was able to regain control. However, in that time, my speed probably decreased about 10mph. Had I been on a highway or in front of an inattentive driver, a serious accident could have occurred. After doing some research, I see this has happened to several other people with the same vehicle. I will definitely be taking my truck in this week. It-??s still under warranty with about 23k miles.

My vehicle is a 2020 Ram/1500 BIG HORN/LONESTAR (with 5.7L HEMI - V8) My VIN is - [XXX] The Engine system failed/malfunctioned while driving on the highway. (It is currently available for inspection upon request.) I will however be taking the vehicle in for an engine rebuild and reinstall on or around May 30th, 2023. My safety and the safety of others was put great risk when my engine sputtered and vehicle rapidly slowed down on the freeway, during rush hour traffic; nearly causing rear end collision. Check Engine warning lamp came on and started flashing at the time of the failure, this was first time it happened. My vehicle was diagnosed from a mechanic/technician at Milosch's Palace Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Lake Orion, Michigan. The technician said that the engine failed due to issue with Cylinder #7 and will need to be replaced - at a cost of nearly $11,000. I did find a licensed repair facility that will do a complete engine removal, overhaul and rebuild including a 24 Month Warranty. According to the gentleman at the repair facility, this is a common issue, and they are on working rotation, repairing 12-15 HEMI Engines at any time due to this common failure. 5.7L HEMI Valve Train issues have been documented over and over; this is a known issue for many years. There have been several cases where HEMI engine owners have filed lawsuits against automobile manufacturer, alleging defects or performance issues with their engines. In some cases, these lawsuits have been successful in securing damages for the owners. I could provide you with some general examples. I have a 2020 RAM 1500 truck with 35,000 and one of the two bolts holding the exhaust together has corroded complete off and the second is heavily corroded. The flange where these bolts have corroded holds the complete front section and back section on the exhaust together so if this second bolt fails, the complete exhaust will separate in the center and be extremely dangerous if this happen while the vehicle is being driven. I also have friends who had had the same issue with their RAM 1500 Hemi trucks and see multiple posts on line complaining about this same issue.

This occurred twice under normal operating conditions. Started to proceed when light turned green RPMs went to 6000 and the gas pedal became mush no power, had to put truck back in neutral and then drive. That fixed the problem. This also occurred why driving on highway at 70MPH, applied gas and the RPMS went to 6000 pedal became mush basically lost power then put in neutral then drive again and the problem was fixed.

After driving in a few inches of wet snow for about 20 minutes enough snow built up around the transmission that when I went to shift it into park it failed to do so. The dash displayed that there was an error with the transmission and it was unable to determine what gear I was in. The truck was not able to fully turn off and was stuck in accessory mode as a result. After changing gears multiple times with no luck I was finally able to shift it to drive and get moving again. I then proceeded to get it scheduled by the local dealership in my area to see if they could figure out what the problem was. after inspecting it they informed me that there was snow buildup on my transmission that caused the park/neutral switch to get stuck/not work. They removed the snow and said that everything was operating normally, but informed me that it was a self-inflicted issue and not a fault of the design or manufacturer. The issue has been temporally resolved by removing the snow, but there seemed to be no permeant fix for the issue.

During warm weather after coming to a stop, then attempting to accelerate, the gas pedal is completely dead. No amount of pressure or pumping of the pedal has any affect. The vehicle moves forward at idle but no other acceleration. After 5-10 seconds, the accelerating comes on 100%. this is extremely dangerous as the idle allows the vehicle to move forward into traffic but stands you with oncoming traffic bearing down with no idea that you cannot move!
