We bought this truck used around September of last year and it took a couple of months to start having issues. First, when we would turn the truck on and it would crank, we would hear an occasional knock in the rear end. Like something being reemed out. Recently, one two separate occasions, two separate days, we were going to town and all of a sudden the A/C stopped working and extremely hot air started blowing through the vents and we couldn't turn it off or anything. The knobs to turn off the AC didn't turn it off. The only solution was to pull over on the side of the road and kill the truck and then crank it again. I can only imagine if someone else has this truck and a baby or even elderly was sitting in the vehicle and it changed over like this, it would've suffocated them within minutes, the heat was hotter than heat on a vehicle ever thought about being. Also, our backup camera has had moisture in it after a rain and throws up green lines across the screen. It also has had electrical issues, the radio and whole display will sometimes cut off when the brake pedal is pressed. The radio sometimes cuts off on its own or won't turn off when the button is pushed and sometimes this causes distraction to the driver. There has been a rattle in the steering wheel since we have gotten it. Of course, we have taken it to the dealer from where we bought it because we paid for an extended warranty but they can never find an issue because it doesn't do it while in their presence, even though we have pictures of the malfunction. Also, recently we have noticed that the truck doesn't want to take the gas. It will click off the gas probably 3 or 4 times before we can get the truck filled.

The power steering went out during a left turn and as I parked I couldn-??t turn the truck off with the push start I had to disconnect both battery terminals in order to shut the truck off with the push start the power steering light has continuously been on and flashes on the display whenever you make a turn According to the manufacturers books provide it with the truck it says that if you shut the truck off it will reset when you restart that has not happened Spoke with the Dodge dealer and since there-??s no recall he advised me that I would have to bring it in for diagnostics and have it repaired myself

Bought 2019 RAM used in March 2020, had 22,500 miles. One morning the radio display began flickering and jumping around to different screens or settings as if someone was controlling it or logged into the control unit. This happened a few times. I videoed some of this going on with my phone. Then called the dealer. They said they would need it to happen while at the shop to determine the problem. Of course it stopped before I made it to the dealer. Dealer looked into it but could not determine an issue or problem. However it appeared to be fixed after that visit. There have be occasions that I-??ve had problems starting the truck. It-??s almost as if the truck does not sync with key. After removing key, open and shut door or flipping key over, turn key it cranks. January 10, while at work, everything was working fine on truck that morning. After driving 2.5 hrs, I stopped and got out of truck for 5 minutes. Once back at truck, cranked it and began driving off the power steering failed to work. Popped the hood, examined to see if I could find problem but no luck. Carried truck to local mechanic Jan 11. They saw several codes but wasn-??t sure of problem. So he cleared all codes and rechecked. Couldn-??t find quick easy fix. Then I made appointment with dealer. Dealer said the steering rack and pinion needs replaced but there isn-??t a recall on my truck. However I-??m seeing a lot of articles about this same issue with 2019 RAM. Also have a co-worker with a RAM that experiences the same odd electrical issues on his RAM. Would like some help to connect the ongoing problems with RAM electrical problems and fix it for all RAM owners. Have videos of radio issues while it-??s jumping around but I could not upload in section below. It only allows photos.

The power steering light came on, then the steering wheel began to move in a short abruption manner. Afterwards it was difficult to turn while driving and impossible while in park or at a stop. Vehicle was built in Oct 17, 2018 which there was a recall on other trucks but not this one. Once I went to the dealership and was informed that in fact it was not on the recall, I left. On the way home the steering wheel began the abrupt movement again while I was driving, I lost control of the vehicle for about 5-10 seconds swerving all over the road putting myself and everyone around me at risk. Once I gained full control it went back to normal, steering wheel had full range of motion with no needed of excessive force. -??Lost Communication With Power Steering Control Module "A"--?? was what was presented as the issue at the dealership.

My power steering is not functioning properly. I have to let my truck warm up for an extended amount of time otherwise it doesn't function. There is a malfunction indicator light that comes in and tells me the power steering needs serviced. Sometimes, even after 30 minutes of warming up, it still doesn't work. I have had it cut out and stop working while I'm driving and been forced to drive it without the power steering working. There is no indication when it will cut on or shut off. It has abruptly started working in the middle of driving and nearly caused me to be in several accidents and almost caused me to run off the road twice. This is a known issue by the manufacturer for the same year, make and model as mine, but for some reason I'm told my vehicle is not included in the recall. This is the only vehicle my family has at the moment and this is dangerous and scary. My vehicle should be included in the recall. I cannot afford this repair on my own right now.

Experience: Ongoing issue and reproducible each time driving. Notice "stuck" feeling in steering at speeds over 45mph. "Stuck" feeling consistently reproduced while at highway speeds making left bend, left lane change, or slight left turn. Problem consistently occurs between 10 and 11 o'clock angle. Problem occurs occasionally with right bends, lane changes, and turns. Problem was experienced immediately at purchase of the vehicle (34K miles) but not fixed until 47k miles. Safety Concern: Problem occurs at high speeds and jerking the steering wheel to correct for the "stick" could lead to overcorrection or slippage, especially in poor weather conditions. Unsafe in dense traffic. Dealer: Dealer identified the issue with the rack and pinion. Dealer said "found rack to have internal fault replaced and set toe cn". Dealer mentioned there was an electrical short in the rack and pinion causing the "stick". Inspection: No inspection made by anyone other than the dealership.

When driving the truck at times the steering sticks to the left when making a left turn. The steering sticks around the 9-11 o'clock position on the steering wheel and will not return to center unless you turn the wheel yourself. You can feel the sticking when you bump the wheel toward 12 o'clock to return to center. It is definitely a safety issue and makes me extremely nervous while it is occurring. What if it will not allow me to correct the turning at some point it will cause an accident. I've had it at the garage and they said they could not reproduce the sticking when they were driving it. It does not occur at all times typically only happens after driving the truck for a little while >30 minutes or so. I purchased the truck in April 2022 and it has been occurring off and on since.

Went for routine maintenance and was told a front axle shaft retainer clip had failed allowing axle to move away from differential. This was at the Dodge RAM dealer. Car is a 2019. I called to speak to Dodge representative and was told this was a recall issue but not for my VIN. I find it hard to believe that this failure on a 3 year old truck would not be due to a similar issue.

I was pulling out of my work parking lot and right as soon as I-??m trying to make the turn out of the parking lot my steering wheel would not turn. Thank God I was still in the parking lot, but I was not able to move my steering wheel at all, the dealer said that it was a full painting rack failure in the steering column itself along with the power steering. I have to get my whole fuse and everything replaced, including the whole front end pin rack.

My vehicle is experiencing electrical issues that cause major systems to stop working while driving. This includes internal messaging screens, blind spot warning and various other systems failing. The most serious of which is the electronic power steering. It went out several times while driving and I nearly lost control of the vehicle. The first time it happened I was traveling and had to take the vehicle to a non dealer repair shop where they replaced the alternator. This initially appeared to resolve the issue but ultimately the problem returned with a few days. FCA has been unable to determine the cause and my truck remains at a local dealership.

I had a failed 48v battery for the etourque system so the 12v battery was no longer being charged. I had a dispute with the dealer so I picked up the truck and began to drive home. As the generator/alternator for the etourque system was not able to charge the 48v and 12v batteries due to the 48v battery fault, the engine and all systems were running on whatever charge was left in the 12v battery. When the battery began to completely discharge, systems began to fail/go offline. Though the engine was still running as I tried to find a safe spot to pull off the road, the electric power steering failed. Unlike a traditional hydraulic power steering system failure where the wheel can be turned easily at speed and with effort at minimal speed, I was almost unable to turn the wheel at all at over 30 miles per hour. I had to pull as hard as I could to turn at a limited radius until I barely made it to a safe location off the road. The electric power steering system makes it nearly impossible to turn the steering wheel if it loses power. I am a large male and someone weaker or smaller may not have been able to turn the wheel at all.
