The AC was stuck on hot and would not defrost. Dealership said the blend actuator door needed replacement. Unfortunately this cost is 1700. In addition to this, the fuel line or gas tank keep clicking and stopping when trying to fill. This has been intermittent since we purchased vehicle. In addition, our infotainment center was hacked, someone was changing our settings repeatedly. Dealership refused to fix
When adding fuel the fuel nozzle constantly shut off making fueling the vehicle difficult. When fueling the nozzle has to be held almost to the top of the fuel neck to allow fuel in slowly. By having to fuel the truck like this causes the fuel nozzle to not shut off when the tank is full and fuel leaks all over the ground.
I was driving a new truck i had purchased from a dodge dealer, i was rear-ended at highway speed, the truck lost control and went off road hitting a earthen burm head on, flipped and came to rest on the roof. The traction control didn't work, the front impact airbags did not deploy and the engine was still running while the truck was upside-down Download of the trucks ECM shows the srs seat position sensor was not configured from the factory. The factory did issue a recall identifying the seat position sensors as a component needed for the airbags to function I suffered a concussion, neck injuries, both knees needed surgery 1 surgery on the left 3 on the right i am scheduled for a knee replacement and temporary paralysis My wife suffered a severed ACL and had to have it replaced
2019 Doge ram 1500 quad cab- the engine completely and immediately froze up and locked all tires in the middle of a busy 2 lane street- sounded like only 2 of the 8 pistons were barely firing, was told my engine was "toast-it sucked a valve"! I am an old school mechanic so I take care of every aspect of my truck regularly by professional mechanics- how can a truck not even 5 yrs old with payments still owed have so many issues and now if completely trash" In addition, I have had computer issues, rear camera issues, the side mirror just fell off on its own.....so many issues with this model. How can a dealership and a manufacturer legally sell such a piece of junk? Is there any recourse? Law suit- class action or individual " I am deseperate for help- I was nearly killed on this street when it all happened- the engine completely died-battery drained-back tires locked up all in an instant while driving 30 mph.
Hello, I was driving on Highway 99 three days ago and my truck came to an abrupt halt after making some horrible engine noises. I hadn-??t been driving my truck because it won-??t pass smog due to check engine light on. I had taken it to a dealer in Lodi Dodge Dealer and they Did one recall on the fuel injector pump. I-??m still not positive. What happened but I strongly believe after Research that the magnetic strip for cam timing failed. I-??m trying to find an independent Agency that looks into things like this as I do not trust the dealer for a couple reasons. Not saying it here. Anyway, if you have any idea how I should move forward after that frightening experience losing all power to my truck, the dash turned red, no oil pressure no anything is what it was saying. I was able to get a tow truck to bring the vehicle to my home where it sits now and it-??s been two months since I-??ve really had a vehicle. I had to make an emergency run to get two bales of hay for my animals. I paid the registration, but I don-??t have the tags because it will not pass smog.

Fuel filler does not allow fuel to enter at normal rate, causes pump to constantly kick off, annoying at first but now has become a safety hazard as some pumps now make fuel spit back out when filling, no warning lamps, took it to the dealer said it is a common issue, bad rollover valve needs a new tank, would not warranty the item because even though the truck has a decal under the hood stating that it California emissions, it does not have a California emission sales code.
Vehicle has 23,400 miles. When filling fuel tank, pump shuts off quickly without filling tank and spills gas back out. Dealer say valve in tank is problem and need to replace tank at cost of $3k. No check engine warning lights on dash.
2019 RAM 1500 50,000 miles. About 2 months ago while filling my gas tank, the pump started clicking every.50 cents or so. Multiple gas stations and different pumps tried, the problem persisted. Only with very light pressure, I could get it to fuel about $10 before stopping. It would take upward of 20 minutes or more to fill about a 1/2 tank. Heading into the winter months, I knew this would become an issue with cold temps coming. I took it to the dealership and was told I needed to have the fuel tank replaced. Due to EVP valves failing. The fuel tanks were back ordered and not covered under warranty. 2 months and $1400 later I have a new working fuel tank. How could a part this expensive and with no real wear and tear not be covered under warranty?
at 30,000 MILES nothing Significant YET. However TWO NHSTA Recalls Have Been Issued the first Now Going on 2 Years. BOTH Ram & the Dealer have been Contacted, the Dealer 3 Times with NO Remedy being Available. Stellantis/RAM seems to NOT CARE, this being Disturbing and Annoying. Unacceptable.
I have had my Dodge Ram 1500 in the shop from November 2022 through September 2023 five different times for defective camshafts vvt solenoids oil control valves. Issues still persist due to faulty machined parts from the manufacturer.
When driving the vehicle on the roadway, the vehicle will turn off the engine and will not allow you to accelerate and will flash a message to put the car in park. When you pull on the side of the road and place the vehicle in park you can then restart the engine. Once the engine is on and you try to put the vehicle in drive the engine will turn off again and request that you put the vehicle in park. It does this over and over for about 5-6 times until it does eventually allow the vehicle to stay in Drive and you can start moving down the road. Once you are driving in the road way it will repeat the process again. During this process there are no warning lights or messages being displayed other than "place the vehicle in park". This is extremely dangerous especially if I was on the interstate or Highway and I lost all capability to move the vehicle. I took the vehicle to a dealership and they were unable to recreate the issue and so no active codes that would point them in the direction of the problem. The dealership told me there was nothing they could do unless they had a code or could recreate the issue.
Hard to fuel the vehicle. Takes 15 minutes or more to fill the gas tank. Ram's fix is to replace the gas tank on a 4 year old truck with under 60,000 miles. Filling up using a funnel at a gas station is not safe for me or other drivers. The local dealer said the cost would about $2000. A service notice was issued over a year ago.
I have an oil cooler leak, a radiator leaking coolant, transmission running high. I have 110k miles on my truck and do routine maintenance. I-??m worried about an engine fire or cracked block soon.
Due to a known but unaddressed defect in the steep-angled fuel filler neck, it-??s almost impossible to fill my tank with gas because the defect causes the gas pump to stop the flow of gasoline every few seconds. Also, the gas pump handle can sometimes become stuck while trying to refill the truck. This cause a very dangerous situation in trying to remove the stuck handle due to the possibility of creating a spark which could ignite the gasoline vapors from trying to forcefully dislodge the pump handle. The NHTSA, to my knowledge, has not requested the manufacturer to initiate a recall to replace the defective part. This problem has been widely discussed online in different forums. My truck has been at the dealership all week and the service department just called me saying I need to order a new fuel tank at the cost of $1925!
When Filling the truck up with fuel, after 1-2 gallons the pump would shut off and I would have to repeat this process to fill up my 32-gallon tank. When I took it to the mechanic, it was found that the tank and filler neck was not properly preventing the pressure, causing the pump to think the tank was full and shut off. By the time we figured out the issue Stellantis had already developed an updated tank and filler neck and were putting it into their new trucks, but they never informed the public of the error nor issued any kind of recall to fix the existing issue.
Having trouble putting fuel into the tank. While attempting the refuel the vehicle the nozzle will constantly shut off and sometimes fuel will pour out of the filler neck onto the ground. I have to VERY slowly fill up the tank. Not sure if this is related but the fuel nozzle does not fit into the neck properly. Thank you
My 2019 Ram 1500 will not take more than a few ounces of fuel at a time. It takes well over a half hour to refuel my tank. The pump constantly shuts off and the tank constantly spits gasoline back at me when trying to refuel, it is not safe to have gasoline spilled on you. I have a toddler, and I do not want her exposed to the fumes after I am doused with gasoline trying to refill my Ram 1500. No warning lights are illuminated on the dashboard. I have scheduled an appointment for a dealer to examine the issue.
Truck had check engine light and sever loss of power Intermittently. Brought to dealer to have it checked. Dealer said they cannot clear the code or fix the issue as the recall in effect does not have the parts out to fix. Recall z46 has been in effect since June of 22 and there is still no solution. I called manufacturer to ask about it and they all they said was quote "I'm sorry there's nothing we can do about it".
