Dealer told me this was a consistent problem with this vehicle. The leather is delaminating and getting worse. The dash was ordered last year and I am given a different delivery date monthly. NO DASH shipped in 7 months. I was told point blank that others waited for a year. NOT ACCEPTABLE RESPONSE.
Truck is well keep and still only has 27,000 miles on it. This should not be an issue for replacement. I was told that Dodge builds trucks and not parts. They had to wait on the parts manufacturer and could not push them. BS. If you are building new trucks then you should be able to take care of your existing customers. Are they hoping I will give in or get another truck? This is a $65,000+ plus truck.
I explained that I would accept a repair rather than a replacement (they have a good leather shop locally) but evidently a new dash comes out of the suppliers pocket where a repair comes out of Dodge's. Why lose a customer over a few hundred dollars. I buy a new truck every 3 to four years. Doubt it will be a Dodge next time. I have an extended warranty but after this I doubt they will honor it or make it too hard to deal with.
I left Ford after 40 years to try Dodge. If this is how they take care of their customers then maybe I should try GMC or a foreign truck.
Very disappointed in Dodge Chrysler.
