1500 Big Horn 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 42,926 miles

Truck was exhibiting harsh 3-2-1 downshift bump and bump on acceleration and labored acceleration. Was advised potential excessive lash rear differential (3.92 limited slip and hemi). No resolution after multiple dealer trips and over 4-6 months sitting at repair facilities (2 different ones). The truck oddly fixed itself for a short period with seamless shifting and effortless acceleration then reverted back to feeling like it is always towing a load and poor MPG unless I drive like a grandpa. Truck now is at 59,760 miles. I'm FED UP WITH DODGE and spitball type repairs like "oh it needs its a service"!!!!

1500 Big Horn 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission

Vehicle would not shift into gear in a parking lot and had a harsh 1-2 shift from purchase. Went back to the dealer for repair and there was a TSB for reprogram. Furious my truck was barely off the lot and exhibiting issues.

1500 Rebel V8 Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 414 miles

I got my new Ram 1500 rebel from a local dealer, the Ram is my perfect choise and i love my truck. With that said, i am very worried from the deer jump i felt few times in the last week. The "bump" is like someone releasing a clutch badly on a stick shift car, when i drive in a slow speed for example in city traffic, with 7-10 miles per hour for more the 5 sec and then when i press the gas pedal to accelerate (about 10%) the car jumps into a low gear and you feel noticeable bump. this might be critical.

I am taking it in, cannot drive it like this! TBC

1500 Promaster 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,500 miles

The tansmission started missing 3rd gear initially at about 300 miles then at 500 miles it started jumping from 3rd to 5th or 6th!! Absolutely no power and would start howling and whining. Blinkers would come on with wipers. Sliding door hinges and bolts loose all over the van. Water leak inside from side door missaligned. Driver door would fail to unlock often. Finally developed an oil leak at 2000 miles and thats when I got rid of it and lost 10,000 dollars due to depreciation. This is the worst vehicle in america and I blame all the problems Chrsler is having on the Fiat made in Mexico decision. Either everyone in the Mexico plant is drunk on tequila and stoned or they are just stupid and lazy with no desire to produce a quality vehicle. Big POS from Mexico!!!!
