When using the cruise control between 30 and 45 mph, when resuming the vehicle will gain up to 10mph over the set speed and the rpms will sit at 4K until cruise control is disengaged. This occurs on inclines, declines and flat surfaces. This has been confirmed by two dealerships on this vehicle. One dealership confirmed it on other 2017 Ram 1500S with 3.6L engine. While traveling approximately 35 mph, the electric throttle control sensor indicator suddenly illuminated and the vehicle suddenly accelerated to approximately 55 mph. During the incident, the RPM's continued to rev extremely high and the driver was unable to stop the vehicle when depressing the brake pedal.
