On 10/19/2016, went to our local dump to throw a few bags of garbage away. As I got out of the cab to get the garbage, the truck started rolling forward on its own. I grabbed the door handle so I could stop the truck,.(do NOT do this). I tripped and was pinned against a cement wall and my running board on the drivers side. I could not move and there was no one at the dump yet. After about 15 minutes some workers showed up, and had to lift the truck with some heavy equipment to get the truck off me. Spent 2 days in the hospital and a couple of months rehabbing.
I took the truck to get it fixed. It's being fixed now. I felt silly thinking about how I got out of the truck and not putting the truck in park. Then on Tuesday, 12/20/16 the news showed the Dodge Ram is having roll away problems (no recall). I have made a complaint to the NHTSA yesterday and now this site.
