The right front tire came off my ram 1500 truck while driving in rush hour traffic in Houston Texas. The tire bounced, did not hit anyone. Thought the truck was going to flip, but it did not. Had truck towed to the dealer where it was purchased and was told that was normal wear and tear. I've been driving over 40 years and NEVER had a tire come off.

The collision company is still working on the vehicle, replacing the front fender, side fender over the wheel and repairing everything with the wheel and drive train.

I was driving to work and the steering knuckle broke, breaking the steering arm and my tire flipped out on the passenger front but the drivers front remained straight. I lost steering, brakes and the engine cut out. The truck threw me into a parked car, tire was ripped off and the truck slid down the street. Transport Canada and ICBC investigated and deemed driver error. Police report stated cut and swerve. I was given the parts back and a number of mechanic's have said the parts are defective, that there is a stress fracture in the steering knuckle which broke, then broke the steering arm and then tie rods throwing me into the parked car. The point of impact with my truck and the parked car was not my bumper or body of my truck and there was no paint transfer between vehicles. The point of impact was the inside rim of my front tire, which is where the blue paint from the parked car can be seen. So my question is, how can I hit a parked car with the inside of my front tire not the body of my truck? I was also told that the same parts that were taken out are the same put back in, just new. I was warned that I should regularly have a mechanic I trust check my front steering knuckles for stress fractures as I am at risk of one or both of the front steering knuckles breaking again. I was not hurt and when I called Dodge Canada, I was told that the important thing is that I was not hurt and no one was killed, further I would not be privy to any investigation, progress or outcome of any investigation or lack there of. The damage of repairs done through ICBC totalled $20,000 and my truck was less than 1 year old. I went to one of our local Dodge Dealers for a satellite reception issue and when processing a warrenty receipt for me on a connection issue, the service manager said "Oh this is the one that". And one of two mechanics said "Oh this is the one that la la la la la ". The other mechanic and the service manager began to laugh and the service manager repeated "Right this is the one that la la la la". Apparently my vin has been flagged in Dodge Canada. I told the men that I knew what la la la la meant and just wanted my receipt. Feeling deflated, angry and afraid.
