My 2014 Ram won't start. I insert the key fob and go turn the truck on and it won't do anything. I will have to go back and forth with the key in the ignition to try and get it to work. It's definitely a pain in the ass as its hot outside in Texas, it took me almost an hour the other day just to get it started.

One minute you are driving the truck all is good, next time you get in it will not start. Just makes one single click noise when you push the button. All lights work and radio just will not start on the dash. It states service electronic braking system. What the hell does this got to do with it starting. Neither key fob will work, nor the push button. Let it sit a day or so, get in and it starts right up like nothing is wrong with it. Please can anyone help? Had to the dealership, they hooked a computer up to it and it said nothing is wrong with it. They act like i have lost my flipping mind. Anyone know the cause and fix to this problem?

I have bought just about every new Dodge imaginable over the years. Cars are my hobby and all my collector stuff is Dodge or Plymouth.

The first time it let me down it was cold out and truck wouldn't start. Battery seemed to be charged completely. Dash lights and chimes would cycle as normal, but just no crank. I kept cycling the key and waited about 20 minutes and it started as normal. Soon after I took the truck in for normal service and asked them to see if if they could see if it had any codes. They checked and said it hadn't thrown any codes and that they hadn't seen this problem. I knew then that this thing was sure to fail again.

My truck would not start. I had it towed 130 miles to the Dodge dealer. They said it was the starter. The truck ran and started. 2 days later it wouldn't start again. Turns out is the TIPM. The replacement part won't be delivered until mid September (4 Months from now)

This has happened to me 3 times. Twice in a parking lot and once in my driveway. Truck works and drives fine, pull into parking spot, go about your business, come back out and truck will refuse to turn over. This first incident happened in August 2017. It won't recognize the key FOB at all. I manually opened the truck & security alarm was set off. All the power works but it will not start. I went to a Rite-Aide and purchased a new battery for the key FOB, got a ride back home and picked up the brand new spare key but that was also NOT being recognized. Called the Hunter dodge dealership to ask for some guidance on how to start up my truck or reset the disabled message, they stated that they do not give out that type of information that instead I would have to take my truck to them for further evaluation. Hello, the truck won't start!!! They said I should call roadside assistance. So I called roadside assistance and they sent a tow truck. The driver stated that he has gotten several phone calls with this issue and said that all I needed to do was to let the keyless entry key or FOB reprogram itself by placing it on my dashboard as close to the steering column as possible, simply wait a few minutes and bam, just like that, the truck started right up :( The second time it happened it was the following month on September 8th, 2017 I was in my driveway getting ready to take my kid to school and again the truck would NOT start. Here we go again, the same issue of NOT RECOGNIZing the key FOB!!! Called the roadside assistance number and an hour later the tow truck driver starts it right up. Truck acts fine as if nothing ever was wrong! Frustrating to say the least because I had to arrange a ride for my child to make it to school that morning and I had to get to work. My husband decided to change the Truck's battery with a brand new one to see if this would take care of the problem but No it did not because it happened a third time. This time was just a few weeks ago on October 9th 2017. Absolute repeat of the incidents. I stopped at the grocery store and when I came out, this nightmare replayed all over again. Truck would not start, truck would not recognize the key and 1 1/2 hours later the truck started right up. Ugh!!!!! I am so disappointed that this has continued to happen and the dealerships technician conclusion was that there has been a liquid spill over the start button. What the heck type of guess is that!!!! I'm the truck owner and there has been NO spill No accident, NO liquid spilled in my truck!!!! Please take the time to write out your complaint if you have experienced this in your vehicle. Truck will not turn over and will not recognize the keyless entry.

I simply cannot afford to have this happen to me when I am trying to get to work, make my appointments, have clients in my truck, drive my kid to school and around town to their extra curricular activities. Will be getting this out on Twitter, Instagram, and my Facebook page.

This has happened around 3 times. All in unsavory places. Truck works and drives fine, pull into parking spot, go conduct your business, come out, truck will refuses to turn over. All the power works, will not start. Call tow truck, get towed to dealer. Day later dealer explains to me its the security chip near where your knees go that got knocked out of place. Truck acts fine.

Second time, truck completely dead in parking lot. No power at all this time. No response to jumper cables. Call tow truck. Get flat bed all the way to dealer. Get a SWEET Dodge Dart as a loaner.... Just kidding, that car is awful. Receive phone call the next day, truck started right up, could not replicate issue.

Third time, in a parking lot again. Truck will not turn over. This time, I try fiddling around with poorly located security thing and truck starts right up.

I simply cannot afford to have this in the back of my mind when I drive my toddler around. Will be getting something other than an awful Mopar.
