Bought new 2014 ram 1500 crew cab at Port Jervis Auto Mall in Jan 2014 Had issues with radio almost immediately and was at 2 different dealers 3 times. Finally Port Jervis Auto Mall replaced it on May 27 2015 This one continued to freeze up at times then last week the blue tooth stopped working, tried to reprogram, unsuccessful. So the radio light and speedometer lights would not go off. Had to unhook the battery to get the lights to go off. Called Port Jervis Auto Mall service dept. They told me radio had a 2 year warranty and I had to have it back there in the shop this week before warranty expired. So went back to Port Jervis Auto Mall and service lady came out to tell me they were replacing the radio again at no charge since it had a two year warranty. She explained it had to be ordered and she would leave the work ticket open so it wouldn't effect my warranty running out. So I went back to see what was the holdup was with getting my vehicle back and she then proceeded to say the tech informed her it may not be under warranty and they were checking as it's an expensive item?? System was down and advised me she would call, which she did to say the radio only had a 1 year warranty! Who does business like this? How can a dealership have incompetent employees giving out wrong information without being liable? This will be the 3rd radio in a 3 year old truck? She said it happens all the time? So we paid close to $40,000 for a truck with a radio that has to be replaced every year? Makes me rethink why would I want to be a Ram owner or continue to recommend these trucks to friends, family etc. Phoned the dealership back twice to speak to management, no return call. Call Ram customer service and am am now at step 2 awaiting a call from a case specialist. I also was suppose to have 3 recalls repaired there today too but, the system was down and that was a no go. I drove over an hour each way, waited and got none of these matters circumvented. Guess Port Jervis Auto Mall isn't interested in good customer service. Poor poor service and would never ever recommend this dealership to anyone again.
