I have taken the new Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi back to the dealer five times now to get it re flashed. I get 12 mpg in town and have ever gotten any more than 14 mpg on the high way. even with cruise control on, I have used different gas stations, used 87 octane and 92 still same results. What burns my torch more than anything is the stupid sales man tells me he bought the same truck as me weeks after me, and he gets 14 in town and 19 high way. I have taken back and they say they re-flash it, so they identify there is a problem, other wise they wouldn't do anything at all. I have also been stranded at a local barbq for hours waiting for my truck to start. Put the key in and nothing, would not turn over or anything. Finally its started, now the radio works when it wants to. It gets stuck on a white screen and cant change channels or anything. Very frustrating. I talked to a Ram representative from Canada, i dont know why she told me she was from Canada, any ways, she said the problem could be fixed by a cpu replacement. she called the dealership while i was on the phone, and they told her there was no problem with the truck, it gets 18 mpg and they took it on a test drive.. they flat out lied to her, my truck has never ever left the dealership after I have drove it there, I always write down the miles, just encase they take it off the lot. They told her a flat out lie so now i am still at the same place i was before. She suggested i go to a different dodge dealership to get it fixed. well that is 130 miles away from where i live. Not practical. I am now a Pissed of Ram owner, which from what i have been reading, i am not alone.
