My truck started to run rough and sound really loud. I thought it was just an exhaust leak but i decided to take it to my mechanic right away. After a couple of hours he called me and said he was getting no compression in cylinder 3 and need to dig deeper. After further investigation he saw the rod just lying there, and than noticed the rocker arm was blown to pieces.
Long story short, this is a common problem with the 5.7 Hemi and I needed to have the motor machined and replace springs, lifters, rockers, cam shaft, and some other sh*t. Total cost me $4700.00 and it took 10 weeks because the rockers were on 11,000 back order. Dodge really needs to fix this problem and make good for people who had to deal with this issue. On top of that cost I also had to rent a car for an additional $1350.00.
I should have my truck back tomorrow and i will be bringing it to a Ford dealer for a trade in. Sorry Dodge I loved this truck but enough is enough!!!!!
