Dodge has had so many recalls ... these trucks are just junk. I had a 2007 three years ago that cost me an arm and a leg in repairs so I thought I would get me a newer one that would not give me problems. Well my truck is 3 years old and already falling apart. The transmission is very weak. The transmission went out on the Dodge I had before and I know the symptoms. Secondly I have a TIPM issue and have to replace the fuse box in a 3 year old truck!! My windshield wipers stopped working about 4 months ago. Through trial and error, I had the switch and motor replaced and they still didn't work. Dodge even did diagnostics on my truck and told me it was a bad motor. After I replaced the motor and the switch they said it was the body control module and that will be another $410.00. So I took it to yet another mechanic shop and come to find out its the TIPM (and not a cheap fix). I look online and this is a HUGE problem with Dodge's and yet no recall. How much do Dodge owners have to put up with??? Also, my air bag system is faulty and the light stays on constantly with that as well. Dodge says another $550.00. JUNK JUNK JUNK!! Dodge needs to step up and stand by their products!

Sounds like the "usual" crap - booth headlights out on passenger side. Poked around the fuse box and they came back on for a week or so. Internet search offered a few ideas about poor connections ,will explore this option before anything else as last summer I had a brake issue, dealer said was related to a poor connection on a wire or sensor.

Update from Aug 11, 2016: Lights went out again - on a hot humid day. They came back on the following morning. Week later, another hot day - off again. Did not have time to take front end apart, so after poking around the front end wiring, I was able to barely reach the connector - I push both the wires and connector together - no problems last 2 weeks. Definitely a wiring connector issue. Poor quality.

My drivers side headlight went out a couple of weeks prior to taking it in to the Dodge dealer to get it fixed. Both high beam and low beam on that side are out. I took it in at the very beginning of May 2016 to get 2 recalls taken care of. While there, I asked the dealer to look at the headlight problem. I told them that I had already replaced the bulbs and that did not fix it. They took care of the recall (not related) and told me that my headlights were working. Before I got home, they were not working again.

I took the truck back on 5/13/2016 and they charged me $135 to "fix" the headlights. Said that when you replace the bulb, the tipm needs to be reset. On Saturday, 5/14/2016, the same headlights are again not working. Plan on taking it in and trying again. Very annoyed and mad that a fairly new truck is probably headed for a $1200 fix for a headlight. Could be a dangerous situation if the other side decides to go out.

Told today, July 25th that I need a TIPM replaced at $1200. This has been an on going problem for two month. Fuses blowing and boat trailer brakes preventing back up on grade. This is exacerbated in that my expensive extended warranty is not covering this problem. I bought the warranty because of all the electronics on these trucks. The cost of the warranty was $2800 and was sold as lifetime with maximum out of pocket of $100 per problem. First dodge and last dodge. Internet shows this is an ongoing problem yet the sh*t misters that peddle these including the car and driver mags would never disclose the crap trap.
