The seat belt and air bag warning light has stayed on. I have had multiple Mechanics, look at it and even try to inspect it. So the lights will go off and they cannot find a problem. I am just worried that if I getting an accident my seatbelt wont-work correctly and the airbags wont-work correctly. I have tried to do a hard reset and so has the mechanics but the lights stay on.

I had a recall, R36 - NHTSA Recall #15V-459, completed in 2015 for my 2012 Dodge Ram 1500. However, currently, the same issues associated with that recall is causing my Air Bag warning light to turn on. This is surely a safety issue. By the recommendation of Mopar/Stellantis Customer Care, I had it diagnosed by the dealer and was told I have to pay for the cost to repair. I believe this same issue, Clock Spring malfunction, is the same as the recall and should be fixed and the cost to repair not be incurred by the owner. Expired warranty, completed recall, etc. shouldn't be a factor if the same problem is happening, hence the recall.

My air bag wiring harness under the seat has been cut due to the seat being moved back and forth. The harness was routed above the track on the seat and over time it got cut and or unplugged as the wire was too short. I have to have the whole system replaced in order to fix this problem. There has been 7 different emails sent to Chrysler Dodge in Michigan with a couple of return responses. I have paid out of pocket and time to have this issue try to be resolved on local level and now it has gone far beyond what I can do and needs to be escalated as this is a huge safety problem. The air bag harness not being connected will cause it not to deploy during an accident or maybe malfunction and deploy during driving. This is a manufacture defect and needs to be handled.

It was below 25 degrees when I got up this morning so the window had ice on it. I started my truck to defrost the window. I opened the back passenger door to put my bag in and when I closed the door the airbag went off. I see other trucks same make and model and year have had issues but my VIN says that there is not an airbag issue with my truck. I beg to differ; so now it will cost $1100 to fix it and I am worried that the other airbags will deploy with me driving on the interstate.

My air bag light has continued to come on and off and beep non stop in my 2012 Ram 1500 sport just moving our seats triggers it and it takes tons of moving our seats back and forth to make it go off. Ram. It also does the same thing in my husbands Ram 1500 his is either a 13, or a 1500 slt ? it is beyond frustrating that there have been recalls issued for other Ram with similar make, model, & year, & yet neither of our trucks are covered under the recall. Ive has mine for a little over a year and my husband has had his about 4 years.

I bought this vehicle and have noticed multiple problems with it. Please help me to have Chrysler - Fiat honor their responsibility and buy back this vehicle. It is a death trap and a lemon. To start, there's a cylinder misfire code that is a problem across the Ram hemi line up. All you need to do is google search and it and you come across a plethora of links addressing the same problem. It is possible for one vehicle to have a problem but when there are countless forums online for the same problem over and over the problem is the manufacturer. Cylinder 3 misfire nightmare https://www.ramforumz.com/threads/cylinder-3-misfire-nightmare.241581/ the truck can start without pressing on the brake pedal the truck takes multiples crank attempts in order to start https://www.carcomplaints.com/Ram/1500/2012/engine/engine_stalls_shuts_down_while_driving.shtml engine stalls/shuts down while driving 2012 Ram 1500 https://www.caranddriver.com/news/A15353911/more-than-1-million-Ram-pickups-recalled-for-accidental-airbag-deployment/ accidental airbag deployed (my vehicle has a deployed airbag on the driver's seat) the truck loses power while driving https://www.carcomplaints.com/Ram/1500/2012/electrical/loss_of_power_while_driving.shtml please help me with this problem under the lemon law and safety laws. The vehicle should not even have been available for me to purchase it in the first place. Unfortunately not a lot of people know about the problems and buy it in good faith. I thank you in advance for your help and guidance regarding this matter. Had recall 15V-459 completed at jack powell Dodge dealership 06/09/2016. Dealership said they completed recall repair. Airbag light and chime still continuously and intermittently went off while engine running. Truck suffered front end damage in traffic accident 07/29/2016 requiring new bumper, grill and hood. This accident was substantial enough the airbags should have gone off. Airbags did not go off. Still today, airbag chime and sensor light continuously / intermittently goes off. Makes no difference if the transmission is in park or drive; seats occupied or empty. I dont believe the original recall repair was made at dealership.

I was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 in motion, traveling South on hwy 20 at 55 mph. Toyota Tundra ran stop sign on mckenzie rd/ hwy 20 and was cited for infraction traveling approximately 45 mph. Toyota Tundra hit passenger side of Dodge Ram cab broadside causing Dodge Ram to rollover twice in ditch eventually landing on wheels and stopping. Driver side airbags and driver front air bag did not inflate in Dodge Ram. Only passenger side airbags inflated in Dodge Ram. I was the driver of the Dodge Ram and received concussion from hitting head on steering wheel and neck and back injuries from hitting driver side door during rollovers. I was wearing a seatbelt. The Dodge Ram and Toyota Tundra were declared a total loss by insurance company. The impact of the collision was severe enough to drastically impact speed of the Dodge Ram and cause major vehicle damage during roll over. Why didn't driver side airbags deploy? attached are photos and citation for accident.

My Ram 2012 truck was involved in a crash on the highway I-83 North bound in pa. My truck was in park when it was struck from the behind by a Jeep limited. The force launched my truck forward and hit the vehicle in front of me that was about 10-15 feet away. I am guessing the speed of Jeep when I was struck was atleast 40 mph or more. The airbags did not deployed. The damage to my truck is almost $12,000. Damages were to the front, rear, and the frame of the truck. Damages to the other two vehicles were far worst

The contact owns a 2012 Ram 1500. While driving 30 mph on a two lane road, two vehicles in the left lane were racing. The contact had to swerve to avoid a head on collision. When the contact swerved to the right, the vehicle struck a concrete barrier. The vehicle flipped over onto the passenger side and the front end frame was bent. The driver's and front passenger air bags failed to deploy. The contact suffered injuries to the face, shoulders, and eyes, which required medical attention. The contact also suffered memory loss. The vehicle was towed. The manufacturer investigated the failure and concluded that the vehicle was not traveling fast enough for the air bags to deploy. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle should have been traveling at least 18 mph for the air bags to deploy. The manufacturer provided case number: 57184099. A police report was filed. The vehicle was repaired at a body shop. The failure mileage was 104,000.

November 2018, on a highway, hit a bump, and the seat belt and air bag lights came on, there was a message that the driver's side seatbelt was unfastened, even though the seat belt was securely fastened, and the seat belt chime rang continuously. About 100 miles later, I hit another bump and the lights went off and the truck stayed functioning correctly for several months. In January 2019, after starting the vehicle and fastening the seat belt, the seat belt light came back on, the air bag light came back on and the seat belt message says that it is not fastened and it chimes continuously for about five minutes. I took the vehicle to the dealership on February 20, 2019. They found a code "U0151 ocr module lost communication" and told me the ocr module would have to be replaced but it is on back order. The vehicle continues to malfunction. The vehicle has not ever been in any accidents that would have deployed the air bags. The vehicle has less than 73,000 miles on it. I am uploading several pictures. The first is the dashboard showing the lights on and seatbelt unfastened message even though I had the seatbelt fastened. The second is a picture of the ocr module which I looked at to make sure it didn't have any loose wires. And the third is the diagnostic report from the dealership.
