Problem solved...... 2012 Ram 1500 would die randomly. At idle or while driving. Dealer had for 3 weeks. Used a running data log as well. Kept telling me it was the TIPM. I replaced it and had the same issue. Was not a key FOB issue either. Went thru that with the dealer as well.
I fixed the problem. I ran my own data log and found it was losing crank sensor. So I replaced the crank sensor and had the same issue. So I removed the crank sensor again, looked inside the hole, toned the engine over until I saw the crank sensor pickup on the crank. It was covered in a whiteish grease. I used a skinny stick and a rag tied to the end of it, dipped it in mineral spirits, stuck it inside the crank sensor hole and cleaned the crank pickup lobe a couple times (on the crank itself), reinstalled the crank sensor and BAM! Problem solved and never returned. So, clean the crank sensor pickup on the crank itself......
