Both airbag harnesses under the driver and passenger seat had to be replaced because of faulty connections that kept throwing air bag codes on dash display
The truck stalled out on the highway doing 60 miles per hour almost got in serious accident. No steering or brakes. (could be deadly). This also happened again making a right turn thru an intersection. Was told it is something to do with fuse box tipm total integrated power module
The vehicle shuts off without notice even while driving and has to be restarted in order to move again. For instance, I was driving along on or about 08/02/2021 and the vehicle shut off by itself while I was driving causing me to almost get rear ended. The componant has been inspected by the local dealership and found faulty. The other symptoms are problems locking doors and opening windows.
Power windows worked wen they wanted to. While driving all warning lights would flash on in the cluster like I turned the key off then on. Truck kept running. Started getting hard to start. Once lost power while driving like it was running out of gas. Now it doesn't start at all. Had it towed to dealer they told me it was the tipm. I understand this is a common problem with the Ram trucks.

The contact owns a 2012 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the totally integrated power module (tipm) failed intermittently and the vehicle stalled with the key in the ignition. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed. A dealer was contacted however, informed the contact that no recall was on the VIN. The fuel pump was replaced by an independent mechanic two weeks prior to the failure recurring. The contact mentioned NHTSA campaign number: 14V530000 (electrical system) as a possible solution to the failure however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 183,500.
Driving along and truck turns off by itself 3-5 seconds then engine restarts by itself. I'm worried it's gonna cause me to get into and accident. Dodge has had this problem across a lot of years with no recall for my truck.
The fuel pump runs continuously while the vehicle is turned off with no key in the ignition. This causes the battery to die and usually leaves me stranded. There is also an issue with the traction control. This feature is designed to not let the vehicles rear wheels spin out of ratio, which basically stops the rear tires from spinning out. However, it sends false signals that they are it stalls the vehicle in the middle of intersections. I have almost been tboned several times to due the truck stalling and leaving me a sitting duck to incoming traffic. Lastly, the air bag warning light stays on, leaving me to believe it's also receiving false signals. Hopefully they do not deploy while I'm driving. If they do and I live, I'll be back to tell you about it. After doing a lot of research, all of these issues seem to be related to a bad tipm. This is obviously a major issue on thousands upon thousands of vehicles produced by Chrysler and some models have already been recalled after a lawsuit. In my opinion these issues could result in bodily injury or death, and a safety recall should not be denied.
I am getting a loud humming vibration noise, sounds like a turbo issue with the hemi coming either from my transmission or rear axel at high and low speed. It's more noticeable at 65 to 75 mph highway speeds. I took my truck into bill bryan in Florida and they where unable to find any issues experiencing lost of power. Ongoing issue waiting for something to happen.
The dashboard bezel alarms when driving the truck on the highway all alarm lights come on at the same time. All gauges go to zero, the truck is still being driven.speedometer still works.mil light comes on code says loss of communication from win module to PCM. I stop truck turn key to off and restart and the alarms go away and mil code stays.has happened four time over a period of a month.
My Dodge Ram 1500 has issues with the ignition and doesn't always start. Some times it will start after 2-3 attempts of engaging the switch. It will also die while driving down the highway. Hitting bumps will cause the truck to die as well. Becoming very dangerous. Unhappy this truck was not recalled when these issues were recalled in same year and in similar vehicles.
Gear shift indicators go out from time to time radio volume comes on and goes off consistently engine valve noise are ticking sound vibration at low and high speeds even after 3 different tire balences
On Monday February 17, 2020 I was driving home from work and while at the stop light my truck just cut off. I was able to turn the key a few times and it started back up. I then stopped by whataburger that same night and it did it again. I took it to the dealer Tuesday afternoon. Today we were told that it is the wireless ignition node (win) that is bad. I understand there to be an existing safety recall for this exact win module but it does not cover our 2012 Dodge Ram pickup. I am requesting that you add this vehicle to the safety recall and that it be covered by the dealership. Based on recall R03/NHTSA 14V-373 it is a known faulty module.
Existing case #11308350 hissing sound in gas tank while on road in motion, on a city street, and a highway and turning and stationary, even noticed it when truck is turned off and sound will not turn off, killed one battery already, truck does not smell like gas. Maybe electrical definitely should be recalled seems dangerous. May also add that driver seat is flat and ripped due to manufacture defect like most cars and trucks, common issue should be recalled thank you
While driving at any speed my truck shuts off intermittently. Figured out when key fob is bumped engine shuts off an loses power. Noticed that they have the same problem on other vehicles with the same wireless ignition module but my truck isn"T included on the recall
Fuel pump stopped working. Put in new pump still didn't work.put jumper from accessories to fuel pump worked fine.changed relay's same proplem.something wrong in electrical system. Pulled up to the house and shut off motor.whent to restart and nothing.
Truck shuts off while driving. Relay problem. Had told get towed twice $165 each time. Was going 50mph when truck lost all power in metairie Louisiana on the causeway bridge 1st time. This can kill someone! this could have killed my family! I will never buy another Dodge truck! Chevy I will stick too! I know anything you buy can have a problem but when people complain about the same problems and nothing is done it's bad business! this is not some people are doing to Dodge trucks this is something that is going on with the maker of this trucks! so is anybody gonna do something" will our trucks get fixed? I paid money to buy a truck that I keep up and do not have any other problems but the relay lose of all power while driving, now why and how is that? is a Dodge truck suppose to do that? when buying my truck did anybody tell me this would happen" no! should I be responsible, no! this truck could kill people! I wasted my money on buying this truck. All these complaints and nobody cares. Somebody needs to be responsible for lost of power. 2nd time lost power new orleans Louisiana on a city street. Truck sometimes just won't start after parking. This happened 6 times. I will not fix this truck! sometimes fuel pump won't even shut off it keeps running. Lost power 11/04/19 first time getting it towed. Lost power again 12/18/19
While driving the vehicle on the highway, it lost power and shut off. Had it towed to a mechanic and they said my valves, lifters, and camshaft were damaged. The truck only has 110,000 miles on it. When the truck lost power, it would have caused an accident, lucky though I was able to pull over in enough time, before another vehicle could hit me. This seems to be a common thing, with these trucks, the mechanic can't replace the pieces because of out of stock, so he wants to replace the whole engine. This issue needs to be investigated, before someone does get into an accident.
I have a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 that was purchased brand new. The truck shuts off while driving on the streets or turning and sometimes while at a complete stop. It started a couple years ago but has gotten worse. This is very dangerous. I put my VIN # in and there is no recall which there should be after reading there are hundreds of customers that's having the same problems. I would like this problem to be fixed without myself having to pay for this. Very very disappointed in this truck.
