Brakes wore quickly after I purchased the truck (used). I had to have the brakes and rotors replaced. It has only been a couple of months and the brakes are still making a grinding noise when applied. Also, when I use my brakes in a turn the ABS light comes on and the pedal feels like it is grabbing. Ever since I bought this truck it has been one things after another.
After only having the truck one year and only 8,000 miles on it, I started to notice a vibration in the brake pedal. It continued to get progressively worse. I checked the rotors and sure enough, my front rotors where warped and wavy. Brake pads still had 50%+ life left. I was shocked! So I bought new pads and dimple drilled and slotted rotors. Vibrations were lessened, but still there. They again got worse!
So now around 8,100 miles I checked the rear rotors...want to guess what I found? Warped rotors! So I again had to shell out for new pads and rotors for the rear! To date I now have 15,000 miles on my truck, no vibrations and still very healthy life left on pads 7,000 miles later. I know this may seem petty to some, but I was just disappointed that all 4 rotors couldn't even make it 10,000 miles from the factory.
