Noticed water building up under my rear seats when I returned from deployment. There was mold growing on the rear speakers, seats and under the seats. Third brake light and resealed it with silicon and that stopped the issue of water building up under the seat. However, there is still water getting onto the seats themselves and I believe it to be from a small hole on the roof under the crappy weather stripping DODGE had installed. My seats have mold on them and it is ridiculous that this isn't covered under warranty and that DODGE hasn't issued a recall, even though it's a total manufacturer defect.

Had a great experience with my 2005 ram. This 2012, assembled and painted in Canada, has problems. Currently there is 2" of standing water in the rear, under the seats tool boxes. Now the carpets rusted and stinks like a frog's ass. My tools are damaged. What kind of a dumb ass engineer would allow this type of problem? First few times I noticed this I assumed I left the window down but no, now every time it rains I'm using ten towels to clean out the mess!

First problem pointed out to me was the crappy paint work on the vehicle.

Second problem was at 24,000 miles the injectors had to be replaced. I was concerned with the amount of time the dealer keep the vehicle Found out the manufacturer sent new injectors and they were bad. When the factory replacement parts are bad that kinda sends up a red flag.

I hope some Ram rep reads this because I am really discouraged with my $34k purchase and I can assure you this mistake will not happen again. I now know why Ford & Chevy far out sell Dodge...

I purchased this truck on December 4, 2015 or about 1,100 miles ago from Gulf Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Foley, AL. Since then, I have not opened the sunroof nor taken it to a car wash or washed it myself.

I am in Ohio visiting my wife and children as I am active duty Marine Corps stationed in Florida. This morning I go into the truck for a trip to Home Depot and noticed water leaking. Long story short, the service department received a message from me about this leak. The truck has no damage anywhere. I am posting it here and will post elsewhere until this is made right (leak fixed and interior (seats, carpet, headliner and metal parts) replaced at no cost to me.

Update from Dec 29, 2015: Update: The water leak is definitely originating from the satellite antenna. While troubleshooting the origin of the leak, I discovered that slightly pushing on the roof of the cab expelled water and air from the antenna. As I was not about to continue to allow water further damage my truck, I placed a clear silicone sealant around the antenna and let it set up for about 45 minutes before allowing water to come in contact with it. It has rained off and on today and thus far, the leak is gone (or so slow for any intrusion to be noticed). I see the dealership I purchased it at on January 6th for their assessment and will keep everyone posted.

I noticed water pouring in from the passenger side rear headliner area that was dripping down the back wall and seats,down to the floor. I really dont know how long this has been going on because i was not driving it much.I did a google search on the problem and noticed that i was not the only one with these issues. It was all on youtube when i typed in ram 1500 water leak. I went to 2 different dodge dealerships to see if they would deal with it since i have a extended warranty but neither one would honor it and wanted me to pay from $100-$200 to get it looked at and repaired.So that left me bothered that i paid top dollar for an extended warranty and the dealership can find any way possible not to honor it to repair and obvious design defect from the company so i decided not to pay the outrageous charge and trace and repair the leak myself. Now i know to do my homework before buying my next new car.
