This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Received "Engine Control Error" in red, where entire vehicle shut down and I had to stop and restart the vehicle for it to move. This happened twice in the span of 4 miles.
Car died after being on the charger for 8 weeks. Main battery is at 83% but apparently there is a 12v small battery that failed. Car is inoperable. Doors will not open, windows stuck partially down, car will not go into gear, can't be moved.
No heater for cabin or front windshield defroster, available for inspection. Ice build up in inside limiting visibility Taking care in but need to wait 4 weeks for appointment. Has not been inspected yet. No warnings just cold air blowing.
