TSB Document:
Affected Component: BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA
- Summary
- There is a possibility that the front camera heater on the affected vehicles will be switched on more often than required at low temperatures due to incorrect coding. This can result in material fatigue over the service life of the vehicle and the front camera can stop working. As a result, the "Camera system fault" warning will be displayed in the instrument cluster and camera-based assistance systems, such as lane departure warning, pedestrian warning, traffic sign recognition and Full beam assist will fail. Remedial Action: Re-code front camera control unit.
