Porsche builds a false high speed report into its speedometers because of some German regulation, even though those regulations don't apply in the US. They refuse to correct the issue. What's worse, they claim their speedometers cannot be calibrated to report the true speed of the car. I have gone from the dealer to PCNA in Atlanta to Germany, and all I get is snooty replies.
The speedometer is built to indicate approximately 5KPH higher than true speed (verified by GPS).
No speedo shop I have found is willing to try to reprogram the computer that displays this erroneous result.
