This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The car would not start after multiple attempts. The SUV needed to be towed to the nearest dealership. They said the fuel gelled and recommended that "I" have the fuel station place the 'correct additive' to the diesel fuel. My husband has had two diesel vehicles from other car manufacturers for the past 4 years, but he has never had any engine start problems. He is still filling his tank at the same station. Since then, I have changed the diesel fuel station and now go to another busy place. The same thing happened today, two (2) weeks later, with a different diesel fuel source. Vehicle would not start (odometer reads 4980 miles) the dealership (from where the SUV was purchased) could only make the recommendation to move the vehicle, which won't start, to an indoor garage. In our area, this is impractical. Very few companies and stores provide indoor garages. I have been on the phone multiple times. The Porsche dealership has not been able to come up with any other recommendations until now, 7-1/2 hrs since my first call.
