Dear Sir,
I own a Porsche Cayenne (Model 2010) registered in Qatar. (Registration number 442170) The car has been giving a distinct annoying - siren / alarm / long beeping - sound from the dashboard speaker of my car. It has been 3 years since this sound started and so far nobody from Porsche (Qatar) has been able to diagnose this sound.
Based on the first diagnostic in 2014, the customer service advisor replaced my Radio Sound amplifier when I told him that the sound does not fade high and low with the volume control of the radio. Besides my radio is working perfectly fine. When that failed to rectify, they just could not trace the fault and the advisor advised to shut off the radio completely to get rid of the sound. I consented due to sheer annoyance (Try sitting in the Car with that sound constantly buzzing in the ear). I did not have any Radio / Sound Entertainment for about 1 ½ Years. Later during the next service a new advisor advised, that it was wrong of the advisor to completely shut down the radio as Porsche needs to identify the fault.
Later I enabled the Radio in Dec 2015 with a new diagnostic that the problem could be in a sensor. The service part was not available and I was told to monitor if the sound came back again. After 3 months the sound came back again and so during my service last week I replaced the sensor which was advised. But to my sheer disappointment the Sound came back the very next day.
I have spent approximately QR 4000/- over this problem with no positive results. Nobody in Porsche has been able to diagnose this Problem. Do I have to Question the brilliant technology of Porsche, who if required can even remotely login from Germany and diagnose the Problem ? Why does it have to be a trial and error rectification when every time I also have to bear an associated cost ?
I am really frustrated and disappointed with the Service and the technical competence of Porsche. Is there no resolution to this ?
