They dealer told me it would cost $15K to repair if it were not under warranty. Upon further investigation, I found out this is a common problem. Happens to some cars, but not others. Porsche told me that the new engine they put in has stronger bolts to hold down the Intermediate Shaft, so it should not fail. Now that its out of warranty, I sure hope it doesn't.
