Cables from the shift lever to the transmission should last more than the life of the car. If they do not it is either a design defect poor a manufacturing defect.
I was on Interstate 95 in rush hour traffic completely helpless. Fortunately there was no collision.
Porsche's response to my complaint was: (1) We never received it; then (2) we won't do anything -
non-negotiable! I didn't ask for or expect reimbursement - just wanted to let them know of of the problem. When they finally did reply it was in the form of a snippy letter from their "Customer Commitment Senior Specialist."
