There was an annoying loud squeaking sound coming from the front suspension every time I was trying to do a 3 point turn from a parked position. The owner I purchased the vehicle thought the front CV axles were going bad.

I first lifted the front two wheels (make sure you jack properly when working under the car) and rotated the wheels from left to right and right to left to see if there was anything rubbing or stuck, but nothing. I checked the CV axle boots to look for any signs of grease oozing out, but nothing. So It did not appear to be a CV axle problem. Did not hear any clicking sound when turning. It was only when I was turning the wheel in my driveway (or street) that it would make the squeaking noise. Anyways, as I examined the front struts, I noticed that the driver side strut boot torn and the rubber bump stop was pushed all the way up on top of the strut and seized and it would not freely come down. I checked the passenger side front strut and the bump stop easily came down on the strut. I ended up spraying white lithium grease and used a pry bar to bring the bump stop down. Now the noise is gone. Be careful when using a pry bar to release the bump stop that you do not damage the strut shaft. Because the strut boot is torn and damaged, most likely dirt and debris were introduced between the shaft and the bump stop and as result it seized. Will have to check time to time to see if I will need to spray white lithium grease on the strut shaft and the bump stop.

Eventually will have to replace the strut assembly. Amazon sells KYB Strut Assembly for approximately $150 each so will have to replace when the struts go bad.
