The contact owns a 2003 Pontiac Vibe. While driving at approximately 45 mph, the vehicle began to make a loud, humming noise which seemed to come from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle had not been taken to an authorized dealership for inspection and the contact had not called the manufacturer at the time of the complaint. The contact referenced recall 02V074002 (power train:axle assembly) as he believed that it was related to the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000. The current mileage was approximately 134,800.
