The contact owns a 2007 Pontiac Torrent. While parked, the contact noticed the air bag light illuminated intermittently on the instrument panel when a passenger was seated in the front passenger seat. After sometime the air bag light remained on constantly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics. The technicians stated the front air bag sensor would have to be replaced. There was a recall under NHTSA campaign id number: 07V344000 (air bags:frontal:sensor/control module) that may be related to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the VIN was not included in the recall. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

I stopped for gas, when I got back in to start the vehicle up, the airbag check light came on and did not go off as normal. I drive about 5 miles to work and parked. When I got back into the car at 5pm the light did not stay on after it was started. I took it to four flags and was told that I had to replace the passenger system module at my expense.
