I got this SUV to use for the dog to get in the back when driving so she doesn't sit unsafely in the back seat and climbing to the front where I'm driving and to pack for our weekend coolers, bags, food etc. for our weekends away up north.

In November-December my electronic Unlock Doors would NOT unlock the back hatch door. How the F** do we access the SPARE TIRE if a tires blows??? Is this not a "SAFETY" issue???

How the the F** can we load our weekend belongings if we can't unlock the door?? We have to crawl in the back to unlatch the clip to open the hatch to load, how do we unlock it when we get to the destination??? Unload from the drop down back seats??? How's the dog get into the back without accessing the hatch door???? WTF was GM engineers thinking when they "forgot" to add a "MANUAL" unlock for the hatch door or manual key unlock or manual handle....SOMETHING, GIVE US SOMETHING. Really???

Two weeks ago while pumping gas another GM customer in an Equinox drove up to pump gas. as I was standing there and went to get the can out and couldn't unlock her back hatch door either. She said she had just unlocked it half hour ago!!!!! We took ours to the GM dealership and they said they may have to bring power from another source and that the "fuse block" may have to be replaced to the tune of $1,600.00 ++ labour, but would NOT "guarantee" that it would be repaired after that expense.

I'm pissed because I wanted a Mazda Tribute, for better mileage but I listened to my husband because he said we should support "North American/Canadian built cars. I had to do a load of groceries in bulk and had to ensure I could get them ALL in the back seat and floor or Í'd have to make a second trip...that's not why i purchased an SUV in the first place was to take multiple trip to the strore because of this problem. How the hell do I get to use my back hatch now??? spend a small fortune to see if MAYBE it will be fixed by your GM Technicians....not a chance???

If in only a couple months I've witnissed 2 of these same issues how many more are out there and are not coming to this and make you aware of this problem???? It's time GM step up to the plate and have a 'RECALL' for this issue or do something about those who have come to you for answers to repair this obvious "COMMON" problem.

My biggest concern and fear is packing for a trip and a tire blows and I have to unload everything through the back side doors to get to the spare tire....think about that...do you know how many curses will be heading your way at that point especially when "MEN" have little patience when it comes to fixing a tire on the side of the road let alone trying to access the spare tire.

I'm disappointed with GM and this product and I hope that this gets rectified or I guarntee it will be my LAST GM vehicle and will ensure my other family and friends know about the issues I've had with this SUV

My first issuw was water in the truck wheel well...still don't know how the water gets in there????

Thanks
