The contact owns a 2007 Pontiac Torrent. The contact stated that the power locks failed on the vehicle. After some time, the battery failed causing the vehicle to think the vehicle was being tampered with and caused it to lock down. The contact attempted to open the driver side window but the door unlocked independently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnosis and the contact was informed that the vehicle had a faulty wire harness in the front driver side door. The dealer also stated that the failure was common. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified but offered no assistance. The failure and current mileage was 190,000.
