The contact owns a 2006 Pontiac Torrent. The contact stated that the heat failed to work in the vehicle without warning. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the wiring system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 78,100.

: the contact stated the vehicle stalled on two occasions. The first incident was at an intersection while attempting to make a turn. The malfunction and reduced engine power indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a service dealer, where the problem was identified as a faulty PCM wiring. On the second incident, while accelerating from a stopped position, to 5 mph, the malfunction and reduced engine power indicators illuminated, before the vehicle stalled. The service dealer and manufacturer were contacted.
