I was driving on a super highway in a pouring rain. The right wiper stopped in a straight up position, The left wiper slammed against it and it also stopped working. Made driving very difficult and dangerous. I removed the plastic that covers the linkage and snapped it back together but it keeps coming apart. I tried to buy new parts to repair it but that is one that is not available except from GM. Why would I want another piece of s--t. I'm trying to make my own.

Sunfire

  • Automatic transmission

The problem started on cold, icy days. I would either not be able to roll the window down, or once the window was down I would not be able to get it to go back up. I would wait a while, and the window would work again. Today, rolled the window down and it wouldn't roll up. Then, it went up an inch and stopped. After playing with it for a good half an hour I finally got the window almost all of the way up. The car is less than two years old. The last care I had was a 1991 Ford, and the electric windows worked fine.
