The contact owns a 2006 Pontiac Solstice. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph the deck lid on the rear of the vehicle opened up on it's own. The control for the deck lid was electronic. General Motors was contacted and case 71862322670 was assigned to an investigator. He finally talked to the investigator who stated that it was not mechanical; therefore, the repairs would be at his own expense even though the vehicle was under warranty. The failure and current mileages were 24,000. The VIN was unknown.
