05- Pontiac Grand Prix- The car is kept in pristine condition, including the interior and engine compartment. * Blower Motor- continues to run when engine is off and key removed. Very few 'pointers' as to where to start looking for the cause. There are three ( Obvious ) areas which can cause this issue. a ) fault in computer, b) fault in wiring and c) fault in fan the emergency measure is to disrupt power to prevent the battery from draining; i.e. dead. Solution: 1 disconnect battery from both terminals, touch wires together to clear the computer. Reconnect battery 2* locate wiring harness connecting sensor module ( under glove box ) disconnect/ inspect for burns. 3)remove sensor module and fan.. replace with OEM, like AC Delco.. NOT CHINA MADE PARTS. *Note check the windshield for leaks and windshield wiper motor for visual damage; or frayed wires. Note *Using cheap or junk parts from China will not clear any automotive issues and only wastes time.
Reconnect everything and your issues will most likely be solved.. if not.. rename the car..run it over to a shaddy part of town... leave the keys in the front seat and wait for someone to come by and take it for a ride.. then put in a claim with your insurance company.. they won't say a thing.. .and be glad to get it off of their books as well.. LOL
Hope this helped. .and about the insurance company.. I'm not serious.. but it did make you laugh.
