The contact owns a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. The contact stated that an abnormal clunking sound would come from the steering wheel when attempting a turn in either direction at any speed. The dealer advised that the front sub frame would need replacing. There were no prior warnings of the failure and the vehicle was not repaired. The current and failure mileage was 130,000.

The contact owns a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix gtp. The contact took the vehicle in for routine maintenance and was informed that it was completely rusted underneath. The mechanic stated that the entire frame needed to be replaced. The oil pan could barely be removed to perform a standard oil change. The failure and current mileages were less than 68,000.

The contact stated there were multiple problems with the vehicle. Each of these problems were included in the recalls 04V287000, 03V331000, 04V299000 and 05V046000. However, this vehicle was not included in the recalls due to VIN. The brake pads have been replaced twice.
