- TcC The Transmission Clutch - If u changed anything that set ur cel to light up or anything Hong happened like slip it into park or something ur clutch will set and when u start going it'll be rough at first then it'll start to chug usually at highway speeds 45-65 or so and just little and ull see ur rpms jump little to.just disconnect ur battery most times it works if u disconnect it for ten minutes but sometimes u have to disconnect it for the hole night both battery cables it resets ur pcm ecm ur power control unit.I had thermostat go bae stuck open never got hot enough when driving and the pcm sent bad temp readings and the transmission clutch engaged cause the pcm sent it into like a safe mode so u dont ruin ur tranny anymore.try it and check ur lines on ur tranny all of the fluids and vacuums if that dont work.I know ur spark plugs and wires if bad will cause that to I had it happen in a van I had.also fuel filter air filter bad gas the maps the massive pressure sensor if going out will do that to.oxy sensor.those my guesses.but first if no light came on for check engine disconnect ur battery for ten minutes then try it.if that dont do it do it for over night.it'll reset just did it to mine

I have 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3.8l v6 and I just bought the car. The cell came on and the temp gauge read like just first two lines maybe three and the heater blew warm air (not hot) so I figured it was the thermostat. Had the computer read at the auto part store and read as bad temp stuck thermostat. The thermostat was stuck open and the car never reached the temperature it should of because the antifreeze flowed free and wasn't regulated so the pcm sent signals to put car in like a safe hazard mode and the transmission clutch control was set. It shook the car like bucked and the rpms would flicker a little when on hwy, lightly touch gas or up hills lightly touch gas. The car would buck too when coasting from higher speeds like 45-75. Got the tcc disengaged by resetting the pcm, but now it still shifts a little hard, not like jerk, jerk. What can that be?
